Do Ontario ITAD providers publish pricing?

These are the prices listed on each provider's page as of October 9, 2026. Eco-Tech and Recycle Bridge state Canadian dollars. Carbon Neutral and XYZ Storage print a dollar sign without naming a currency. Eco-Tech's list doesn't mention tax, so confirm with each provider whether HST is added.

Eco-Tech's list is the most detailed of the four. Beyond loose drives it prices an Apple laptop at CA$25.50, a tablet at CA$20.50 and an iMac or all-in-one desktop at CA$40.50. It takes CA$0.50 off each unit paid in person and requires 48 hours' notice to cancel. It also says bulk and commercial jobs can get custom pricing.

The other pages carry conditions too. Carbon Neutral says extra charges can apply when a drive has to be removed from a device, and it doesn't price them. Its page lists $10 per drive and offers mobile, off-site and drop-off service without saying whether the rate or any trip charge varies by route, so confirm the price for the route you want. Recycle Bridge says special pricing may be available for orders of 50 or more drives.

Each total multiplies the listed per-drive price by the count and adds the fixed charge, before tax and any discount. The spread comes from the fixed charge and from what the service includes.

The fixed charge matters most on small jobs. Recycle Bridge's on-site visit works out to CA$90 a drive at five drives, because the CA$250 call is spread over five units. At 50 drives it is CA$45 a drive.

The services differ too. Carbon Neutral's $10 comes with emailed before-and-after photos, while XYZ Storage's $24.99 comes with a Certificate of Destruction for a drive you carry to its counter. Recycle Bridge's on-site rate pays for a visit to your office, and the certificate is signed there. So start from the record your auditor or customer contract requires, and compare only the rows that produce it.

Drives still inside machines change the math. At Eco-Tech's simple-removal rate, 20 drives cost CA$310 instead of CA$210. For drives that hold regulated data, weigh the cost of onsite destruction against offsite before choosing on price.

A full ITAD job is a different purchase from shredding a box of drives. It combines collection, erasure or shredding, reporting and resale. Two of its inputs are unknown until the provider sees the inventory: how much work the equipment needs, and what it is worth afterward.

eCycle Solutions says so directly. Its ITAD page states there is "no one-size-fits-all price." It names equipment volume and type, the level of data destruction, and collection versus drop-off as the cost factors, and it says resale value "frequently offsets the cost."

Greentec's service menu shows the same structure. It lists secure pickup and containers, an asset audit with reconciliation reporting, certified data erasure with refurbishing options, shredding and recycling. It also lists value return to the client for servers, networking gear, PCs, laptops, phones, tablets and monitors, with reporting for invoicing and financial return. The page gives no rate and no terms for the value return, and a price comes through its "Get a Quick Quote" form or 1-888-858-1515. The net figure on a job like that depends on the resale value, which a per-drive price list can't express.

Colleges, universities, school boards, hospitals, municipalities and other eligible public-sector buyers have one more route. OECM's electronic device disposal agreement names ALTA E-Solutions, Greentec and Zonal ASD as suppliers and runs to October 14, 2032. Its pricing sits behind a free customer login.

Quotes are comparable when every provider prices the same inventory, the same services and the same terms. Send each one the same list: device counts by type, approximate ages and how many units power on, which devices must be shredded and which can be erased and resold, the pickup addresses, where destruction has to happen, and the report you need for each device. Ask for collection, processing, destruction and reporting as separate charges, with the resale credit on its own line. The number to compare is the service charges minus the agreed credit, with HST and transportation shown.

Suppose a team is retiring 120 laptops. Split the list before sending it. Working machines approved for erasure and resale go in one group, and drives your policy requires destroyed go in the other. Greentec's menu covers both in one job, with certified erasure and value return for the first group and shredding for the second. Ask it for one quote that prices the groups separately and states how the resale credit is calculated and when it is paid. Ask every provider who pays when a drive fails erasure and has to be shredded.

Before signing, look up each provider on the RPRA registrant lists for the hauling, refurbishing and processing it will do. If the quote includes a mobile shred truck, confirm the NAID AAA certification scope for onsite destruction.
