A USPS carrier route corresponds to what one letter carrier covers, which makes it a tighter unit than a ZIP code. The Domestic Mail Manual states that the carrier route accuracy standard exists to ensure the carrier route code correctly matches the delivery address information, and that carrier route coding must be performed using CASS-certified software with the current USPS Carrier Route Product.[8] Route codes refresh on that product cycle, so a route stored without the date it was pulled turns ambiguous later.

A hand-drawn grid bounded by four named streets means the same thing to every driver and never gets renumbered by an outside agency. A unit holding 30 target properties or fewer matches what a day or an evening of visits looks like in PropertyRadar's field guidance.[1]

One driver holds one unit for a fixed window, and the assignment lives in a table kept outside the app. That table names the driver, the unit ID, and the dates the window opens and closes. A code-enforcement notice taped to a door, a listing that expires, or an alert on a monitored parcel each give a reason to return early. Storing a last-driven date on the unit and a last-captured date on the property lets whoever builds Saturday's schedule filter the list. Sixty days is a starting number a team should replace with its own capture rate after a quarter of drives.

Every captured property gets a named follow-up owner at the moment of capture. A photo carrying a timestamp and no person attached sits in the shared list until someone happens to notice it. The field can name the driver who found it, an acquisitions rep, or a queue somebody clears daily, and which it names matters less than it being filled before the driver pulls away.

Members can access purchased and saved data in a PropertyRadar account, while alert and automation configuration stays with the account owner or an admin.[3] A field driver therefore cannot set up the monitoring that watches their own captures, which argues for one person owning list configuration and publishing what the alerts do.

A driver on the same unit for six months stops noticing changes, while a driver new to a unit has no baseline to compare against. Rotating on every fourth pass keeps most of the familiarity and still adds a fresh set of eyes, and the revisit interval involves the same balance. A revisit interval set too tight burns hours on streets whose condition has not moved, and one set too loose lets a new signal age for months.

It is not a duplicate-route lock

Neither PropertyRadar nor DealMachine documents an automatic street-level block that refuses a route a colleague already drove.[2][6] The documented behavior is recording and visibility, so a second driver who turns onto a covered street finds nothing in the app that interrupts the turn.

It is not a territory permission system

It is not a substitute for a parcel-level dedupe
