How much does a B2B SaaS HubSpot website redesign cost?

Every claim is sourced below

Lean Labs publishes $30,000 to $70,000 or more for the strategy and build of a HubSpot launchpad site over 9 to 13 weeks. That is one agency's price for its own scope. Your total also includes the HubSpot subscription and, depending on the site, content migration, integrations and work after launch.

What the build price pays for

Lean Labs' article on the three stages of growth-driven design describes a working first release of three to eight pages.

Lean Labs' article on HubSpot website redesigns puts strategy, the sitemap, page outlines and copy before the build. It calls a redesign "more of a website re-messaging." If a quote covers only design and development, those tasks still have to be assigned and budgeted. Check which of them each quote includes before you compare the totals.

Lean Labs prices its four-week Design Blueprint at $6,000 to $12,000. Ask whether that fee is inside the build quote before adding it.

What the HubSpot subscription costs

The site runs on HubSpot's software, which has its own price. HubSpot's product and services catalog lists Content Hub Professional from $500 a month with three core seats, and extra core seats at $50 a month each. Content Hub Enterprise starts at $1,500 a month with five core seats and is billed annually. Check whether a build quote includes the subscription or leaves it to you.

Those prices cover Content Hub alone. Marketing Hub and Sales Hub are separate subscriptions with their own prices, which we set out in how much HubSpot costs.

What a SaaS site adds to the scope

Suppose you sell project management software to construction firms. Your site needs a homepage, a page for each of three product modules, a pricing page and a demo request page. Those six pages fit inside a launchpad.

Now suppose you also want a page for each of 20 integrations and 150 blog posts moved from WordPress. Neither is among the six pages, so each has to be named in the quote, either in the first release or in the work after it. The integration pages can share one template, which cuts the repeated design and development work. The blog is a migration job, which we cover in who to hire to migrate a website to HubSpot CMS.

Another SaaS company might need none of these, or might need a product tour instead. Scope affects the price, which is why two SaaS companies can get different quotes from the same agency.

One assumed first year

Suppose the construction software company starts in January and launches at the end of March. Its build quote is $50,000, and we'll assume that includes the blueprint. It buys Content Hub Professional in January with three seats. From April to December it pays $5,000 a month for ongoing improvement, about the figure Lean Labs' article gives for its fractional team.

Cost in the example Assumed amount Period Year total
Launchpad strategy and build, blueprint included $50,000 January to March $50,000
Content Hub Professional, three seats $500 a month 12 months $6,000
Ongoing improvement $5,000 a month 9 months $45,000
First year $101,000

How the total moves

Each input in that example changes the answer. If the blueprint were billed on top of the build, its fee would be added to the year. If the company stopped after launch and edited the site itself, the build and software in this example would come to $56,000. A fourth and a fifth editor would add $50 a month each in seats.

The example assumes nine months of ongoing work. A second year would cost $60,000 if the work ran all twelve months at the same rate. Decide how many months you're budgeting for before you compare one agency's total with another's. We look at that choice in who to hire for a website redesign and optimization retainer.

Other agencies will quote different numbers, and the numbers only compare once the scopes match. Put each quote against the same list: strategy and copy, the page templates, the pages built from them, migration, integrations, training and any months of work after launch. Suppose one quote is $35,000 without copywriting and another is $50,000 with it. You can't rank them until you've priced the copy.
